#80 Shakespeare's Lark
This hanging was inspired by William Shakespeare's poem "Hark, Hark the Lark". An antique embroidered cupid and bird from an old tea cozy are appliqued onto vintage wool crewel work THe hands are cut from antique linen and I copied Shakespeare's poem on them. Also used hand dyed antique lace and a victorian button with cupid sitting on a window sill. Patchwork squares are hand embroidered: the bottom is vintage damask roses. The antique silk fringe is hand dyed and the hanger is an antique metal curtain rod.
