# 73 Whoever dies with the most buttons wins
This piece
was inspired by my love of antique buttons- they are works of art in themselves! An antique china head, with a body made from an antique 1850's quilt, is on a square of a victorian fan quilt, dated 1901. The top corner is a sky full of antique buttons. Antique wool victorian paisleys surround the fan, I used a 1940's bark cloth with a hand dyed squares of loomed late 1800's coverlet. The cranberry and olive french floral linen is late 1800's. I used a reproduction roller print for the binging. The frame is an antique ball and stick mirror frame. The buttons speak for themselves.
