# 81 Memories of the children of the forest This hanging is a little whimsical, my idea of how the perfect forest should be. I used an antique tapestry for the background and appliqued the antique brown sateen for the tree trunk. The leaves and flowers on the tree are cut from an antique french valance. The embroidered bird in the center is from a victorian crazy quilt. The cherub on the swing is an antique bisque bathing doll. The wonderful embroidered parrots are from a victorian skirt panel, vintage silk sari border and antique and reproduction paisley. The flower is a vintage curtain tieback and the carved molding is off of an indian tray.
