# 106 Life is but a dream I used some of my most prized and beautiful fabrics for this piece. (It was tough to part with them) The "frozen charlotte" china doll is from the early 1900's, she has marcasite wings and is framed is stamped brass. The embroidered silk is circa early 1800's, which I hand beaded and appliqued the embroidered bird, which came off of a victorian table scarf. The wonderful black and white "fairy" scene is from an early 20th century figural tablecloth. Also used: late 19th century english floral chintz, mid 1800's floral chintz, victorian cotton paisley, mid 1800's embroidery, early victorian printed trim, antique metallic vestment trim, hand dyed victorian crocheted lace and antique beads. As always I did all the piecing, quilting and embroidery by hand. 25 x 35
